I just LOVE custom orders!
I'm absolutely thrilled when I get a great custom order like the one I shipped this week. I loved being able to work with bright colors and have some fun creating great props. School will be over soon which means my granddaughter won't be spending as much time with me. Although I'll miss spending my days with her it will allow me more time to create.

New Creations that I LOVE!!
These great cotton diaper covers are available in my Etsy Shop with a low introductory price of $25.00 for the set. I made these diaper covers less bulky than my previous cotton covers and I'm offering them in sets that include a color for a newborn boy and girl. Keep an eye out for additional sets in my Etsy Shop. If you'd like a specific color all you need to do is request it.

I love Robin's Egg Blue and I LOVE this set.

Navy Blue, one of my favorite colors!
I've been working on some new creations for my Etsy Shop the past few weeks. I've begun adding photo props to my Shop which are high quality yet reasonably priced. I love the look of a diaper cover on a precious little newborn. The diaper covers in my shop cover a newborn's diaper perfectly even at the legs plus the cover is adjustable. Diaper covers are wonderful as photo props and they're great for those hot months when a t-shirt and a diaper cover would be perfect. Most diaper covers that I'll be adding to my shop will have a matching hat and I will be adding money saving photo prop sets to my shop over the next several days. I love Navy Blue, it's such a crisp color against a light background.
The flower on this hat is new to my Shop. This flower has two sets of petals, one behind the other and is sewn onto the hat. The beanie is a trendy little shell beanie that is absolutely stunning for the fall and winter. This hat matches the Navy Blue Diaper Cover and is a great matching set. Later this week I'll be adding a matching Elf Hat.

Get Ready for a Giveaway!
I love the color Cranberry! I love Cranberry even more when it's paired with a great contrast color like a soft off-white. This lovely hat will be in my Etsy Shop tomorrow.
I always wonder what my customers would like to see in my shop so I thought I'd ask. I'm going to be running a giveaway in the next couple weeks and everyone will be a winner. Start thinking about colors and hat decorations that you'd like to see in my shop or any other crocheted item you'd like to see in my shop. The details of the giveaway will be posted next week.
I'm looking forward to everyone's ideas!

Wow!
Wow, what a great Christmas Season! Not only was I super busy in my Etsy Shop but over this past weekend I had a wonderful surprise. I sold a hat to a fellow Etsian who then used the hat on her daughter in one of her Shop's listings. What an Honor!!!!

Fate
I'm a strong believer in fate and today proved that I'm right to believe in fate. I left the house early today all by myself to mail an order at the post office and head off to a store in Jacksonville to purchase yarn for more creations. Once I got to the store I discovered it was CLOSED. It was just open a couple weeks ago!!! I thought I was losing my mind so I called my husband, he checked online and nope, that store is no longer listed. What's funny is I checked the site online a few days ago and they listed that store on their website. Off I went to another store that I haven't been to in a few months and low and behold they had exactly what I was looking for plus it was on sale! Now, that's fate.........I had my heart set on the first store and that was a bust but the store I hadn't thought of for yarn had it. Needless to say my morning turned out just perfect!
It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is in a short week and a half and right behind Thanksgiving is Christmas. Where did the year go? I think this hat would make a great winter hat for a little girl or a wonderful addition to her Christmas Day wardrobe.

My Monday and My Model
Olivia and I started our day out with a brisk walk and I can't emphasize brisk enough. Neither one of us had a jacket on, the wind was blowing and it was a cold N.E. Florida morning. We shortened our walk and skipped the playground; tomorrow we'll wear jackets.
Olivia decided to "model" some socks on her arms. She loves socks for some reason. I think her love of socks may be genetic, her mother seems to love them too. She's a wonderful sock model isn't she? I figured if she's going to model socks maybe she could model a couple of my hats. Hat modeling didn't go as well as sock modeling but I'm not giving up.

Look at those baby blues!

What's wrong with all these pictures?
The first picture is of my darling granddaughter. Now, please notice that she has a rather large pair of black socks on which belong to her Poppy. She wanted her Poppy to put these socks on her and she proceeded to walk around the house with them on. The problem with the following pictures is that my darling granddaughter is not in any of them. I have tried and tried to get her to model some of my creations and she absolutely refuses but she'll wear a pair of her Poppy's socks. The girl can fling a hat a good 6 feet and she can run and hide from me like a champ when she sees me coming at her with a hat. I'm not giving up on trying to get her to model for me.
